The Department of Classics at the University of Miami is currently seeking a classicist for a one-year appointment at the level of Lecturer, to begin on 15 August 2009. The successful candidate must be competent to teach Greek and Latin at all undergraduate levels, as well as broad survey courses in the literatures and cultures of the Greek and Roman worlds. S/he will also be expected to participate in various departmental activities. One year teaching experience and an M.A. in Classics or Comparative Literature are required by the time of appointment. The Department of Classics at New York University invites applications for an appointment as an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow. The appointment will be for one year beginning September 1, 2009, renewable annually for a maximum of three years, pending administrative and budgetary approval.
