APA Monograph Submission QuestionnaireTo submit a proposal to the APA monograph series American Classical Studies, complete the following questionnaire. The preferred method is to download the document in Rich Text Format and work with it in your word processor. (You may need to right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac OS) on the link to ensure that your browser downloads the file.) Alternatively, copy the text from the browser display into a word processing document. Compile the questionnaire along with a brief CV, table of contents, and abstract of 400-500 words into a single document in Microsoft Word format (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf.) or (least welcome) Portable Document Format (.pdf). Send the compiled document as an attachment to e-mail to Kathryn Gutzwiller, editor for monographs, at Kathryn.gutzwiller@uc.edu. If submission on paper is necessary, send one copy to: Kathryn Gutzwiller, Department of Classics, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio 45221-0226. Date: 1. Title of the monograph: 2. Word count of the monograph: please give the actual total word count indicated by your word processing application, and if possible, also give the separate word count for the text and the notes. If actual total is not yet known, give best estimate. Normally, the minimum length of a monograph in this series is about 60,000 words. 3. Are there any issues that may arise regarding formatting or any special needs, such as plates? 4. Have you previously had contact with OUP regarding this proposal or monograph? APA Monographs are published through OUP-USA, which issues a contract only after final approval through its own delegates and editors. 5. Is this work a revised Ph.D. dissertation? If so, please specify the nature and extent of revision since the filing of the dissertation, the name of the institution and of the dissertation director. It is the policy of the series to consider only dissertation-based works that have been extensively revised. 6. Is this work part of a series, either begun or contemplated? If so, please give details of previous parts published or of plans for continuation. 7. If any part of this work has appeared or will appear separately, please give details and bibliographic citations. 8. We are unable to consider manuscripts that are under consideration elsewhere. Please confirm that this proposal is not currently under review by another press or series. 9. Current membership in the APA is required of all authors whose work is published by the APA. (Membership is available to anyone. Click here for information and PDF Form.) Are you currently a member of the APA? Return to APA Monographs
